Concerned Citizens meeting with Ohio Civil Rights Commission
Press Release
The group of concerned citizens will be meeting with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission to discuss issues surrounding the wrongful discharge of Mrs. Perlean Griffin, Director of the Office of Affirmative Action & Contract Compliance; and other unfair employment practices of Toledo City government.
Place: One Government Center, Suite 900, Toledo, Ohio
Date: March 19, 2007
Time: 1 p.m.
Since firing Mrs. Griffin, Mayor Carty Finkbeiner has yet to replace her with anyone of comparable competence or understanding of issues of employment and contract compliance. At the moment, city government is not only out of compliance, but as citizens, we continue to suffer as a result of the absence of leadership needed to effectively run the Office of Affirmative Action & Contract Compliance. Therefore, with this press release, we ask for your presence at this all important first step in bringing about redress for the people of Toledo.
